How do I book a session?
Booking is easy — just fill out the Start Your Story form and we’ll pick a date. Once the contract is signed and retainer is paid, your session is officially on my calendar.
When should we book?
As soon as you can! My calendar fills quickly (especially summer and holiday seasons) since I balance KMP with a full-time career. The earlier you reach out, the better.
What can i expect during a session?
Comfort, fun, and authenticity. You’re booking my time, not restrictions — so wear multiple outfits, choose different locations, or simply enjoy being together. No forced poses, no fake smiles, just connection.
Do you have location recommendations?
Do you limit locations or outfits?
Yes! I have a small handful of favorite spots, but I also love trying out new locations and will work with you to find the right place to fit your vision.
A travel fee may be added for any locations outside of a 30-minute radius of Portland, ME. As of 2026 KMP also offers a studio location, a $75/hour studio rental fee does apply.
Nope! You’re booking my time, not restrictions. Use it however you want — multiple outfits, different locations, or simply staying in one meaningful place.

How soon will we get our photos?
Portrait galleries are typically delivered within 3–4 weeks. Sneak peeks may arrive sooner, depending on the season. Galleries remain online for a specified amount of time, and once expired, can be reopened for a $50 fee.
How do you keep our photos safe?
All images are backed up in multiple places for one year. I always recommend downloading your gallery right away and saving it in more than one spot (hard drive, cloud, flash drive) so your memories are doubly secure.
How many images will we receive?
Every package (except Mini Moments) includes a full, curated gallery with no set image limit. My sessions are built around movement, connection, and real moments — so you’ll receive every image that reflects the energy of your story, without having to pick and choose.
This is why my pricing reflects complete galleries, not a handful of highlights. Your memories deserve to be preserved fully, not rationed.
Do you offer prints & Albums?
Absolutely! Your gallery is connected to a professional print lab where you can order heirloom-quality wall art, albums, and keepsakes. If you’re not sure where to start, I’ll happily guide you with recommendations.

Do you offer mini sessions?
Yes! I offer Mini Moments year-round (15 minutes, 8 images, with upgrade options) and special Seasonal Minis on select dates — the only time discounts are available.
Do you photograph pets?
Always! Pets are welcome in any session (as long as the location allows). You can also book a session focused just on them — and for senior pets, I offer a complimentary Senior Pet Legacy Session to make sure their story is remembered. See additional offerings under "Your Investment"
What if it rains or we need to reschedule?
Life happens — and I completely understand. I offer as much flexibility as possible when it comes to rescheduling. That said, certain times of year (like fall and the holiday season) can make rescheduling more difficult due to limited availability.
If a session has to be canceled altogether, there is no cancellation fee, but please note that the retainer paid at booking is non-refundable. The retainer secures your spot on my calendar and the time set aside just for you. If you decide to book again later, a new retainer will be required.
do you photograph weddings
Yes! I accept a limited number of weddings and elopements each year. Coverage begins at $1,050, and a full wedding guide is available upon request.

do you Charge Sales tax?
Yes — as a registered business in the State of Maine, I’m required to collect sales tax on all photography services. This ensures that everything I do is above-board and in full compliance with state requirements. It’s one of the ways I honor both my clients and my business — keeping things professional, transparent, and worry-free. Sales tax is added to package prices on your invoice.
